# MaskNumber GitBook

## Welcome to MaskNumber

MaskNumber is a decentralized platform enabling users to purchase and own virtual phone numbers as unique identifiers on the Solana blockchain using SOL. Designed for the Web3 era, it eliminates traditional telecom reliance, offering privacy and control without KYC. This GitBook provides a comprehensive guide for users, developers, and token holders.

### Purpose and mission

MaskNumber’s mission is to empower users with private numbers, free from intermediaries or monthly fees. We use blockchain technology, to ensures instant activation and a secure ecosystem, with a transparent revenue-sharing model for token holders and us as developers.

As active members of the Crypto community we have quickly learned that trust is the highest currency avalaible. We want to provide you a project you can trust, where the project is not a promise, but a realization. We have often ourselves believed in a project, which later turned out to be another scam. This is also why we choose to deliver a (semi) finished product.

We want to build a name for ourselves in this community, and this can only be done by being consitent, responsive and activity. We hope you will use this product, remember us as developers and reach out when you have questions or hick-ups while using our MaskNumber. We are here to help.

### Target Audience

* End-Users: Seekers of private, KYC-free numbers for calls, texts, or verification.
* Developers: Builders integrating MaskNumber’s API and SDK into dApps.
* Token Holders: Investors in the revenue-sharing system.
* Privacy Advocates: Users prioritizing anonymity and data security.

We really recommend using two step verification options while active in cyber space. We hope we can reach a large audience, so more accounts can be secure using MaskNumber.

### Safety Features of MaskNumber

MaskNumber prioritizes user safety with these key features:

1. No KYC Requirement: No identity verification, enhancing anonymity.
2. Decentralized Ownership: Numbers tied to wallets, not telecoms, for security.
3. Crypto-Powered Transactions: Secure SOL payments with low fees.
4. Account Deletion Option: Users can remove account data from servers.
5. Secure Number Allocation: Numbers allocated securely, not resold without consent. You are, and stay, the only owner.
6. High Security Measures: HTTPS encryption, blockchain storage, and smart contract audits.
7. Preventing SIM Swapping: No carrier ties reduce risks, with wallet security tips.
